I have designed several websites over the years. I began with raw HTML. With the development WYSISYG editors my design time was shortened - but those editors were usually limited in functionality. As such, I continued to use my HTML skills (and later, CSS) to enhance the designs. Today, primarily using the Wordpress platform, I am able to take advantage of the numerous templates out there - though I continue to use my backend knowledge to control designs and enrich the user experience.
